Hull Pottery Vintage Pitcher

Hull Pottery Vintage Pitcher

$18.00

In searching for items to add to my Valentine's Day mantel display, I came across this classic small ceramic pitcher in such pretty pastel colors. It has a highly textured light pink background with a darker pink star flower with rich green leaves on the front. There is a starflower motif pressed into the background, the neck is ribbed, and the handle is fluted. It has a high gloss finish.

These were made in the USA between 1942 and 1945 by Hull Pottery in Crooksville, Ohio, and was referred to as early art and novelty ware. Many of these pieces were embossed only with the mold number and USA. On this piece the bottom is embossed: USA 6-6

Very nice vintage condition. There are no cracks, but there are some small chips along the base and overall light crazing, which is pretty common for pottery of this age. There is also a small dark spot on the back above the handle, which is likely under the glaze from the manufacturing process.

Dimensions:

6 1/2" tall

4" wide at base

5" wide at the handle
