Leather Tooled Wallet

Leather Tooled Wallet

This vintage 1970s tooled leather wallet was in an Estate sale collection of many beautiful leather items. I thought this piece was especially nice for a display due to the rich dark brown color and the really nice design on the front. It has a tooled leather design of flowers and what looks to be a church window with whipstitch edges. Inside is an area for bills, a coin pocket and identification section.

The wallet is worn and I do not think it would stand up to much use as a daily wallet. It would be awesome to use in your purse as a business card holder only. Imagine pulling it out to pass out your cards - a good conversation starter! I think it would be best used as a display piece however.

The whipstitching is coming loose at the center and the plastic ID cover has a small crack int he bottom. The coin pocket does have Cameo embossed under the flap.
