Swans in Spring Oil Painting

Swans in Spring Oil Painting

Such a peaceful scene - ready to be added to your spring decor. These two swans are gliding along the bend in the river with a footbridge on the horizon and the early spring landscape around them. The light in the image reflects the early morning and for some reason the scene makes me think of Paris!

I believe this is an original oil painting although there does not seem to be any artist signature that I can located.

The piece is framed in a painting bluw frame with a "shabby chic" finish with some pink and gold underneath. The back shows it's age with the paper being quite rough and discolored around the edges where it meets the frame. It does have the original hanging hardware. The frame is a bit loose and could benefit from being re-glued.

There are two marks on the front of the painting where it has been scuffed. They could be "fixed" if you have some painting talent, or left as is due to the vintage nature of the piece. They are not strong detractors to the piece, but they are there.

This would make a tremendous addition to a gallery wall of spring colors. I could imagine bringing it out at Easter every year and feeling the mood lightening considerably in the room! It is a substantially sized piece and could serve as the centerpoint for a gallery wall as well.
