Fraureuth Pitcher with gold trim

Fraureuth Pitcher with gold trim

A beautiful small pitcher by Fraureuth, Aurora pattern, made in Germany. The trademark on the bottom indicates that this was from the period of 1865 to 1926 based on my research. I believe this to be an original antique piece from that time frame, but have no way to really authenticate the piece.

The pitcher is delicate in appearance and would serve as the perfect resting place for a small bouquet of wildflowers, as a creamer on your coffee buffet or even as a decorative item on the mantel. It is a creamy white porcelain color with gold trim along the top and bottom and on the handle. There are a few decorative gold flowers at the top and bottom of the handle. Some of the gold is slightly rubbed off in places, especially on the spout and handle and along the base. This piece is in otherwise very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.

4 3/4" high

3 1/4" diameter at the base
