This is such a cool and precious little piece. This Delft blue small trinket dish features a charming image of a pipe smoking man sitting at a table. The image is the traditional blue and white of Delft and has a detailed depiction of the scene. On the table sits a bottle and a glass, at the bottom the words 4. L'Absinthe.

This little dish was one of a series of small plates featuring highly detailed images of men drinking and smoking in the bar!

Marked on the back Made for Royal Sphinx Holland by Boch Belgium Delfts.
In perfect condition.

This is in excellent vintage condition and no chips, cracks or paint loss. There are a few surface bubbles in the back of the dish that were there from the manufacturing process. Perfect for you MCM bar cart. Collect them all!
