Vintage Norman Rockwell China Mugs: Grandfather & Children Theme, Set of 4

Vintage Norman Rockwell China Mugs: Grandfather & Children Theme, Set of 4
$32.00
A great gift idea for Father's Day! A set of four china mugs from the Norman Rockwell Museum collection with the theme of Grandfathers/Fathers and Children. Adorable!
The four are:
The Cobbler - The cobbler is a master at the craft. He can make a beautiful pair of shoes out of scraps of leather. But it's a big challenge to fix a shoe so small! He'll use his skills and find a way - so as not to disappoint his two little friends.
The Light House Keeper's Daughter - With needle and thread in hand, she carefully mends a jacket that is nearly as old as she. Her father, the lighthouse keeper, works hard so that his daughter can live a better life. And she returns his love with uncompromising care and devotion.
The Toymaker - He is the hero of the village, because he works wonders for little boys and girls. He can make a single piece of wood come alive, and stir the imagination of any youngster. He is more than a toymaker, he is a dream maker.
For a Good Boy - As the little boy strains to peer over his grandpa's work table, the old sea captain deliberately, and the great skill, puts the finishing touches on a model sailing ship.
It's a great amount of work, but it's worth doing for a good boy.
Each of the mugs in glossy white china with gold top rims and a gold stripe on the handle. The front of each has the corresponding Norman Rockwell painting to the inscription on the back. Each of the inscriptions have @1982, The Norman Rockwell Museum, Inc. underneath. All are Seal of Authenticity Norman Rockwell Museum on the bottom.
The mug set is in excellent vintage condition. Only one has a slight rub of missing gold paint on the top rim ( The Cobbler). All are free of chips or cracks. The images and inscriptions on all are complete.
If you weren't lucky enough to be able to buy these for yourself, what a perfect Father's Day, house warming, new neighbor welcoming or good luck gift! You can never go wrong with Norman Rockwell! These mugs were inspired by Rockwell's illustrations in THE SATURDAY EVENING POST in between the years 1921 -1939.
