2 Vintage English Candy Tins

$22.00
I thought these were fun together - an instant collection! There are two tins that look wonderful together being of similar color schemes but offering a variety of sizes.

1. This is a really cool piece with a fun English countryside scene from Edward Sharp & Sons Ltd. of Maidstone Kent. The top of the candy tin depicts the "Old Paper Mill" from Standon on the lid. The sides are a complimentary dark green with gold accents. The front label indicates that the company was By Appointment Suppliers of Confectionary Glucose to the Late King George VI. An image of the King's seal is also present. Great looking advertising copy and wonderful autumn hued colors!

The condition is good vintage condition with wear on all sides. The tin has scratches, paint loss and other signs of aging, but no rust. The inside and bottom are quite clean with a shiny bright silver color. Perfect for storing jewelry, craft items, or to use as a unique gifting box! It also displays well and could be just the final touch you are looking for!

Dimensions: 7" X 5 3/4" X 2 1/4"

2. This is a really cool piece with a fun summer pond and scene from Bunte Chicago Chocolates
Hone, Butter, Chocolate. The top of the candy tin depicts the idyllic scene in shades of green and blue. The sides are a complimentary soft yellow. Running along the front is the complete ingredients lists. Great looking advertising copy and wonderful late summer hued colors!

The condition is good vintage condition with wear on all sides. The tin has scratches, paint loss and other signs of aging, but no rust. The inside and bottom have surface oxidation so they feel a bit rough. It would be nice to add a fabric liner. The lid closes tightly and with a snap. Perfect for storing jewelry, craft items, or to use as a unique gifting box! It also displays well and could be just the final touch you are looking for!
