What a beauty! I believe this to be an older model (maybe even the 1940s?) model of a Bancroft Super Winner Badminton Racquet. It has numerous labels on the shaft that indicate - Bancroft
-Genuine Bamboo
-Super Winner
-Reinforced Shaft
-Frame by Bancroft Custom Built for Expert Play

Most of the branding is in really nice shape on one side and a bit rubbed off on the other side. The wood press with tightening screws is also stamped Bancroft Racket Company. LEIST is written in red pencil on the back (likely the owner's name).

The shaft is bamboo (reinforced), the grip is well worn leather and the strings are original (they seem like a natural material). I believe there is a missing piece at the top of the leather handle that would have been the a supporting band. The handle is in really nice condition otherwise.

Wouldn't this set make a great display piece in a man cave, exercise room, boys room, sports-themed bar or rec room. It's evocative of playing lawn games in the late summer at the "lake house"!
