Vintage Celluloid Solider/Drummer Boy Toothbrush Holder

Vintage Celluloid Solider/Drummer Boy Toothbrush Holder

$18.00

This is so unique and a perfect addition to the bathroom sink for that little boy in your life! This little celluloid solider/drummer boy is from the 1950s and was produced in Hong Kong. It was intended for holding a little boys tooth brush. There are holes strategically placed for holding the toothbrush, hanging on the wall and draining any water that may be part of the tooth brushing experience. These holes are in the tummy area for holding the brush, on the top of his hat and bottom for draining and the the back for hanging.

Considering this was used over 50 years ago, it is in really nice shape. The paint coloring has faded a bit and there are two hair line cracks on the back plastic, one at the neck area and one down near the feet. It is still in one piece and would be useable. The back is stamped Made in HONG KONG. It would benefit from a good cleaning.

Now, of course you could use this as a toothbrush holder, but I also think he would look great as part of the Independence Day mantel or shelf display, or as part of any Christmas vignette. A fun little figure wherever you choose to put him.
