I find these little Frozen Charlotte dolls adorable and add them to so many mantel and shelf displays as that perfect final touch! This has the added touch of being a shelf sitter pair - I am calling them book buddies! The boy and girl figurine are huddled together sharing a story book. Made in Japan is marked on the back and they are likely from the 1940s.

They both have sweet faces and quizzical looks on their faces. The faces, hair and outfits are painted; blue for the boy, pink for the girl.
The remainder of the piece is unpainted. Of course, for porcelain bisque pieces of this age, there is some worn paint and a more haphazard application of the paint from production. But, the “worn” looks perfectly Old World and Shabby. No chips or cracks or broken pieces. some surface roughness on the outside of the spine of the book. They have a wonderful matte finish.
