I spy items all the time that end up making perfect components for gift sets. This is a perfect example. I thought this would be a fun gift set for a young child for your next road trip, or time when they need to be occupied quietly. It could also work well as a end of year Teacher Gift for someone that appreciates a vintage vibe. The set includes the "Things to Make and Do" book from 1974, 3 Kid's card games; Piggy Bank, Mickey Mouse and Crazy Eights, 3 small lap desks and a new box of chalk. I would so have this in my home for young visitors! It would easy to wrap up in a box and present with a heartfelt handwritten note as well.

The set incudes:

1 - "Things to Make and Do" - A vintage Children's Activity Book by Douglas W. Downey and Karin Wisiol with Graphic Design by Yvonne Beckwith and Drawings by Dick Fickle. Published by the Standard Educational Corporation Chicago in 1974 as a completely new edition of a book first published in 1952. Each project is laid out with detailed instructions and Materials list and is accompanied by an adorable photograph of a child enjoying the end product. Colors are bright, 1970s "mod". The book is in really nice condition. The cover is bright green and has a clean look. The corners are a bit ruffled. The binding is tight. All pages included. Only writing noted is a R on the front page. Has a slightly musty odor. Dimensions: 10 1/4" x 7 1/8" x 1"

Piggy Bank - From 1965 from Ed-U-Cards, a really fun box with Piggy Bank on front, the cards are photographs of coins with a cute Piggy Bank on the back. The Directions card is included; game is a counting and money Educational game. The cards are in really nice vintage shape, no creases, wrinkles, rips, tears or writing. Box has some corner and edge wear but no missing parts. Dimensions: 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 1/2"

Mickey Mouse - Walt Disney Productions from Ed-U-Cards, a really fun box with Mickey Mouse on front, the cards are Disney character icons with the ED-U-CARDS logo on the back. No Directions card is included; could likely find on-line though. The cards are in really nice vintage shape, no creases, wrinkles, rips, tears or writing. Box has some corner and edge wear but no missing parts. Dimensions: 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 1/2"

3 - A set of three vintage small lap desk "chalk boards". These were found at a retiring teacher's Estate sale and have CURTIS written on the back. They are made of a 1/8" thick composition with a green chalk board top and MDF back. They're in overall quite nice shape. Also included is a new box of five pieces of white chalk. Dimensions: 11 1/4" x 8 3/4"
