My younger sister took tap dancing lessons when she was a little girl. I can remember her out in the driveway tapping away - a very happy memory! That's probably why I was so happy to find this pair of vintage little girl's black patent leather shoes from Leo's. They have such sweet appeal and are likely from the 1970's.

Tiny black shiny shoes that have the thick metal taps on toe and heel.

They both have toe and heel taps that are identified as Dancette brand. There is a simple front piece that goes across the top of the foot with two grommet holes to tie the shoes in place. They have new laces from the local dance store to have an authentic look for display.

These shoes are pre owned and pre loved shoes and there is a bit of scuffing and wear, but polished up well. The front toe tap on one of the shoes is missing a small screw to hold it firmly on the shoe. Both of the shoes have frayed edges of the black grosgrain edges for the tie-on piece.

The inside of the shoes are light blue. They shoes usage marks inside as well. The foot beds have Leo's printed on them (very faintly!).
The shoes measure 9 7/8" from heel to toe, not sure what size that would be. They are 3" across the widest part of the toe bed.

Just so charming!
