Mid-Century Cheinco Faux Woodgrain and Dried Flowers Canister Set

Mid-Century Cheinco Faux Woodgrain and Dried Flowers Canister Set

$32.50
These "mod" canisters from Cheinco Housewares New Jersey would look the part in the cabin or 1970s retro décor kitchen. The outside of each has a faux woodgrain pattern with a dried flower print on the front. A trademark of the Cheinco canisters set were the resin lids with decorative elements. This set has a wicker-look design that has texture and design appeal. This is not a nesting set, rather a set of three that were to be displayed side by side.

All three of the canister are in really nice condition with only the slightest but if surface scuffing and no visible rust. The insides are very, very clean and there is even little to no scuffing along the top rim from the action of opening and closing the lid. The white painted bottoms are all embossed with Cheinco Housewares J. Chein & Co. Burlington N.J. 08016.

These would be really fun to use to display in your cabin, or as their intended use as canisters. They would still be acceptable for that usage. I know this to be true as the largest of the canisters still has residue of flour and the smallest has tea bags! They would also be fun to re-purpose - say in the kitchen pantry - wouldn't it make you smile each time you opened the pantry and there they were in their retro goodness holding your assorted pantry items!

Sold as a set of three.
