This is a really fun collection of unique, sewing, needlework, crochet and clothing care items that fit like a charm in a "mod" fabric tote with easier to carry one strap handle. The items would make a wonderful gift for a novice seamstress or craft person in your life or to start, or add to, a display for the sewing or craft room. They each have very charming elements that catch the eye. I have collected these over the last few years from various Estate Sales and it is now time to make them available to Warmth & Cheer patrons.

The collection includes:

1 - 1970s Flowered Cotton Wood And Fabric Portable Knitting/Sewing Basket. The best, retro brown, gold and pink pattern with a full silky lining. Dark wood frame with gold Lucite strap handle. Fabric handle slips through and the bag collapses for carrying. (See video). In amazing condition. No stains, rips, tears or other aging flaws. It was used and does show some aging on the wood. Dimensions: The overall size is 15”x14”. The actual bag size is 12”x7.5”x12”

2 - Preprinted Cross Stitch sampler - Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Poem. The piece is heavy linen with a green printed pattern. The beginning of the lettering is stitched in black. No other stitching completed. A few spots on the in the middle (they look like they could be removed). Large profile. 17 1/2" x 26"

3 - Lot of Embroidery Floss Needlepoint Thread in 100% Cotton with Original J & P Coats Labels. 16 packets in a wide variety of colors. Complete packets with some staining noted only on color 6005 and 6015. Dimensions: 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" each packet.

4 - Jiffy stitchery Antique Phone and Flowers Sunset Designs Unopened Embroidery Kit. The kit contains: Printed design on quality homespun (50% poly/50% rayon); 100% wool yarn, 100% rayon yarn, and 100% cotton yarn sufficient to complete the design; needle; mounting board; full color print; and complete instructions. Fits standard 5" x 7" jiffy frame. 1979.

5 - Learn How Book Coats & Clark's Book No. 170-B. 65 Pages of instructions for Crochet, Knitting, Tatting and Embroidery. 1959. In wonderful vintage condition. Soft cover with pictures and sketches. 5 1/2" x 7 1/2"

6 - The Singer Manufacturing Company Bristol Ware tin, black with gold and silver accents and image of 1800s Singer sewing machine on top. It uses wrapped tin and has reinforced rolled edges. Clean inside and out, it has a stained glass look with a theatrical old English aura. Wonderful condition and full to the brim with white/off white/tan buttons of all sizes and ages. Some needles and pins also included.
Dimensions: 3 1/2" diameter, 1 1/2" high

7 - Plastic blue base, clear top with embossed rose design small storage case from Wil Hold Wilson Manufacturing. Classic 1960s sewing case company. Great little size in nice vintage condition, some surface scratches, etc. No cracks in plastic. Filled with a fun assortment of sewing goodies - White House Home Products thimble, Ceramic butterfly thimble, Spool of 7 yds. of Pure Silk Taffeta Ribbon Binding, Tin of Dorcas Dressmakers' Steel Pins (can't seem to get open), German Dressmakers tape and Snipping Shears.

8 - Classic Red fabric pin cushion with green accents. Pins and needles included. Needs a good cleaning. 2" diameter

9 - Set of 21 Crochet hooks of various sizes and ages. One hooked rug tool as well.

10 - Penn Permanent Press Iron-On Patches for Permanent Press Slacks in black. Love the retro image on the front of the package and the original 45 cent price tag.
