These are the kind of pieces that I love for Warmth & Cheer. Little original oil paintings, often by amateur painters add the most original touch to décor! Maybe they are on a theme that is part of your gallery wall, maybe they represent a memory or historical event, maybe you just like the colors! They enhance any corner or display they grace.

The traditionally staid fruit bowl still life has some fun upgrades in this piece! The background has a cheerful textured design that almost looks like flower petals. The other elements of the still life are complimentary to that background. There is a deep blue coffee mug and refrigerator storage jar, some bright yellow bananas and a cheerful flower arrangement in the back. The color play of the background with the everyday items is my favorite part of the piece. The elements are realistic and the colors are rich.

There is no signature that I can find. I am dating this to the 1960s based on information from the Estate sale. The painting is on a thick piece of MDF board. The edges are not finished, but I do not think this was ever framed. There is an old sticky piece on the back from being hung as is. The corners are slightly scuffed. The piece lies flat. I think it still looks good, unframed and would lean on a mantel or shelf well. But, the right frame would make it shine! There is really wonderful details in the background and light play and other elements of the composition. This is calling out to be included in a gallery wall or sitting alone on a mantel or shelf, it works either way. Perfect for a coffee bar!
