I loved finding this small recipe collection from the 1920s - 1960s, buried under a myriad of cookbooks at an Estate Sale. I thought this set would be really fun for a "throw-back" dessert party or wonderful cooking ephemera for craft projects. It is fun to see how the product was advertised and used in cooking for a 50 year time span. There are three items in the set:
1 - New Jell-O Recipes, Copyright 1925-26 by the Jell-O Company. Small heavy paper stock Jell-O recipe booklet with stapled binding and small insert for Jell-o Ice Cream Powder attached with cord. 18 pages of Jell-O recipes and Rules for use. Back of the booklet indicates 350000 grocers are delivering Jell-O every day from The Jell O Company Imc. LeRoy NY. In really nice condition for age. There are dark spots on some of the pages and curling of the bottom corner. Imagery is in full color by Linn Ball and really pretty. Insert for Ice Cream Powder is identified as Gugler Lithographic Co.. Rare and collectible. Dimensions: 6 1/8" x 4 1/4"
2 - It's dessert Time! 35 glossy pages of Jell-o product recipes from General Food Corporation, NY NY Copyright 1953. Color photographs and illustrations on front and back cover with black and white photographs inside, along with black line illustrations with pink accents. The products included for use in the booklet are Jell-o Pudding and Pie Filling, Jell-o and Jell-o Tapioca Pudding. In great, vintage condition, with slight usage noted and one small tear along the front cover bottom edge. Dimensions: 5 1/2" x 8 3/8"
3 - Joys of Jell-O, spiral bound cardboard cover 96 page of uses for Jell-O including Desserts, Salads, Two-way Recipes and New Ways. From General Food Corporation, White Plains NY. 1st Ptg. (This was in 1963) Color and black and white photography throughout. Nice vintage condition, some usage and age marks along the edges of the cover, spiral binding still in great condition. Only writing is a black mark over part of the General Food information on back of front cover. Dimensions: 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
