Moving into fall colors and tones for decorating is one of my favorite seasonal changes. Halloween is a nice focal point at the end of that timeframe as well. But, I have always, even as a little girl, been frightened by Halloween "spookiness". This year I have been on the hunt for items that could be used in Fall and Halloween decorating that are fun, light hearted and definitely unique. I have quite the collection brought together. Need something to scare away the monsters? Here's the perfect little, rustic school bell that would be up for the task - and look cute in a display when not in use! This piece shows it's age, but that adds to the Halloween glamour! The metal bell is quite oxidized and has surface rust. The wooden handle has a nice design and the paint is in good shape, a few nicks in the wood but no significant scuffs. The clapper is firmly attached and it makes a lovely soft sound. No manufacturing marks.
