My parents owned a Collectibles and Toy store back in the 1990s. They had a wonderful assortment of collectible stuffed animals, but too many to keep now that they have retired. This piece is perfect for the Holiday season. He is "Flake", an original Bunnies by the Bay plush Snowman. This piece would be an adorable tabletop decoration or under the tree and add a folk art feel to your Christmas or winter décor. The body, head and arms of Flake is comprised of off-white fuzzy material. The adorable folk art touches are a felt hat and scarf with nature accents for the buttons and the hat. The face has the "carrot" nose and an adorable grin. The entire piece sits on a natural vine base which allows it to sit up-right quite easily.

The original hang tag from Bunnies by the Bay is still attached and the authenticity patch is on the back and indicates this particular Flake was handcrafted by Krystal Suzanne - #1169 in 1995.

Bunnies by the Bay is still producing wonderful pieces today, with their current focus on gifts for babies and children. The background I found in my research - Founded in 1986, the world of Bunnies By The Bay was created in response to tragic events that unexpectedly propelled one family into navigating a wayward journey from tragic loss to hopeful healing. Two sisters and an additional shareholder own the business out of Washington state.
