This is really a sweet sentiment, that would honor your mother upon gifting. The poem reads:

For You Mother
May the sun smile through your window
From out the skies of blue
Upon the world's sweetest creation,
"Mothers just like you."

The print is stain free. It has a soft green background with a decorative print of a quaint foot bridge over a flower strewn stream in the foreground and a cute cottage in the background. The poem is in the lower right hand corner. It has a very simple, thin gold frame and is behind glass. The back is corrugated cardboard. The frame has quite a few dings and scratches around the edges. The back cardboard has a water stain but it did not affect the front.

It is marked in the lower left corner DonaldArtCo, Inc. New York No. 287 and Made in USA in lower right hand corner and this dates it to the 1930s or so.

This is such a sweet piece that could be refurbished into the best Mother's Day greeting! Be creative!
