Vintage Grandma Moses "Church Goers" Painted Tile
$35.00
I am a fan of Grandma Moses. This is a really fun piece to add to your folk art collection and it's perfect for the winter and/or Christmas display. It is a hand painted ceramic tile with an image of a country church in winter with the faithful parishioners walking into the church from the nearby village from an original Grandma Moses illustration.
The label on the back reads "Church Goers" Copyright 1952 Grandma Moses Properties, Inc. Original painted by America's best loved artist at the age of 91. Faithfully reproduced by hand screening & fired for permanence. The Berggren-Shelton-Trayner Corp. Libertyville, Illinois No. 102.
The tile is in wonderful condition on the front with no chips or cracks or paint loss. The edges have some aging marks. The back is covered with a soft blue felt and has a hanger cut into the fabric. There is some aging marks on the felt but it is complete. The full original label is also on the back attesting to the authenticity of the piece.
Really special!
