Vintage Hummel Figurine: Street Singer #131, Choir Boy with Top Hat

A friend has asked me to help him sell his mother's treasured Hummel collection, and what a treasure it is. This one is so cute, and it the oldest of those in the collection. Perfect for a Christmas display! I used the Complete Hummel Price Guide from 2017 from Antique-HQ.com to research each of the figurines. That guide listed this figurine at a value of $350.
Hummel Figurines have been a part of many peoples lives over the years. There is a Hummel Figurine out there for almost every occasion; starting from “A Flower For You” to “Zealous Xylophonist”. Boys and girls doing everyday duties from picking apples to delivering letters. There is a methodology to identifying the age and title of Hummel figurines. There is the Hummel Number impressed in the base and the Hummel Trademark printed on the bottom. The Hummel Number can be cross-referenced to the Hummel Price Guide chart to identify the name of the figurine. The Hummel Trademark identifies the year produced. This figurine has the Trademark #1 from 1935 - 1949 from Goebel with the impressed crown and the GW underneath. Germany is also marked on the base. It also has the cursive Hummel signature along the base in the back.
Hummel - Street Singer #131 - MINT CONDITION
This little boy is dressed in his most formal attire with a top hat, tails and jaunty red bow tie. He is obviously outdoors giving his concert and this tails on his coat are windswept, but his hat is staying in place. His sweet face has dark eyes and rosy cheeks, surrounded by brown hair. He holds his sheet music in this hand and it is also being curled up by the wind.
