When I saw this piece, I thought it would be the perfect little dish to add to a Secret Santa gift with some baked goods or candies on top, or for the Christmas Cookie exchange. I think a little vintage touch adds just the right amount of charm!

I know this originally was used as an ash tray, but the design elements lend itself to much more than that! The front has a white ceramic background with intricate gold ivy designs around the edge and a charming stage coach image in the center. The plate indicates Caprice - Opera Paris Perfumes Gifts. I suspect it is a souvenir from a trip to France. The back is printed in gold; R. Bonhomme Limoges France with a gold dove icon.

It has a cute little scene of a horse driven stage coach on a snowy landscape. The colors are blue and red, gray and black, with gray snowy trees in the background on the white plate. The filigree gold trim edge completes the picture.

The plate is in very nice vintage condition. There is slight surface scratching to the center stage coach image. No chips or cracks though and the colors are still quite vibrant. It displays well.

Just cute and festive, however you use it!
