When I spotted these two little figurines, I immediately thought - New Years Eve of New Years Day décor! They make a nice little set with these two brightly colored mid-century tin noisemakers with "jesters" on the front.

The set includes the following:

1 & 2 - Ceramic figurines of little boy and girl in party clothes. The little girl is sporting a sweet party dress with red shoes and blouse, and black and white party hat. She is holding a masquerade mask in her hands. The little boy has a white court jester outfit with red buttons and a black cap. He is holding a mandolin. They have a bit of a pensive look on their faces, so I wonder if they have been told it is time to go to bed! They are hollow. The stamps on the bottom are no longer visible, but based on the style and the age I would suspect Germany or Japan and the late 1940s. They are in wonderful condition, no chips or cracks. The black painted areas have a cloudiness to the paint surface from aging. The rest of the paint is in wonderful condition. Dimensions: 6" tall, 1 7/8" diameter of base, 2 1/2" at widest points

3 - Two yellow tin background with lithographed design of party girl and jester in red, blue and white. One has a red wood handle, the other a yellow plastic handle. The handle spins and creates a clicking sound from the gear inside. They both work really well. Both are marked Kirchhof. The older one also has Newark NJ USA Patented Nov 27, 1928 - NO. 1693140. The newer one has Kirchoff "Life of the Party" Products. Small rectangular shape. The older one has surface scrapes, oxidation and light rust on yellow metal. The newer one is quite clean. Dimensions of both - 4 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide and 1" tall. Handle sticks out 1 1/2".
