This is such a fun Vista Alegre (VA) commemorative mug from Mottahedeh. It has a background of creamy white porcelain with a red printed decorative elements including two stylized US Eagles and the phrase, "To Washington The Patriot of America." The bottom is marked VA Vista Alegre Portugal Mottahedeh 1776-1976. Likely created for America's Bi-Centennial.

When I saw it, I envisioned it's to be displayed with an Independence Day vignette and then it could be used in an office for a grand holder of things that need corralled.

This is really beautiful and in wonderful condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing on the piece anywhere. Slight usage marks on the bottom rim.
