1933 Chicago World's Fair Souvenir Pillow

1933 Chicago World's Fair Souvenir Pillow

$52.50
What a fun find! This is a peachy-pink satin pillow from the Chicago's World Fair of 1933. The pillow is a souvenir from the fair and includes graphic illustrations of key attractions; Administration Building, Fort Dearborn, Electrical Building, Golden Temple of Jehol, Travel and Transportation Building, Sky Ride, Hall of Science, Enchanted Island, Federal Building and Observation Tower. The center has World's Fair Chicago 1933. Along the bottom is 1833 Century of Progress 1933 and WAL 1933 as the artist's signature. Along the top is Recollections. The illustrations are in black with washes of subtle pastel colors. The back is a darker pink silky cotton and the sides are held together with peach satin braided trim.

This piece is in really beautiful usable condition. There are no rips or tears and only some slight age spotting on the front. The filling has broken down with age, so you may want to pull a few stitches and add more batting. That would make the design be even more eye-catching!
