I've always had a thing for hand painted plates! This harvest themed, apples laying in the grass having fallen from a tree, plate is no exception and would make the best addition to your Thanksgiving or harvest buffet. Or - think about adding it to your picnic hamper for canapes and wine and cheese. Perfect! It is from the 1920s and was hand painted in natural colors with yellow and red apples and the most amazing grass blade details. These apples are perfect in their imperfection! The rim is painted gold and has a scalloped shape with some embossed designs.

The back stamp is marked Charlotte JHR Bavaria Handpainted. Information regarding this back stamp is as follows:

Made by Lorenz Hutschenreuther from the late 1880s through the 1930s.

The plate is in very nice antique condition. There is some scratching, most notably on one spot of the green grass. No utensil marks of note. The painted gold rim is in really nice shape as well. No cracks or crazing. Some usage marks on the base of the foot.

This is really pretty and would lend itself to the Fall, Back to School and Thanksgiving season beautifully!
