When I look at vintage or antique books, I have two priorities - it must be display worthy and it must have themes that correspond to Warmth & Cheer "vibes". When I spied this book, I knew it did both!

This little book caught my eye and I was fascinated by the Americana subject. "At Gettysburg, Or What a Girl Saw and Heard of the Battle.
A Ture Narrative" by Mrs. Tillie Pierce Alleman. This is a 1994, Reprint of the 1888 edition, 128pp, maps, photo. A young girl's first hand account of the events surrounding the Battle of Gettysburg, as she participated in them during the three days battle. A rare, firsthand account of the events by a Gettysburg civilian who spent most of the time during the battle at a house at the base of Little Round Top. Black fabric bound hardcover with embossed gold lettering on the front.

The book itself is in really good condition. No corner or edge wear. No writing in the book. Binding is still quite tight, I do not believe it was ever read. The only noted issues is a dustiness in the fabric surface. Fascinating peek into a fraught time in America and very display worthy!!
