This piece would be so neat to use at your next seasonal buffet, particular to pour hot chocolate or mulled wine, adding just the perfect vintage flair! The piece is a copper plated coffee pot. It could possibly be made by Rome Metal Ware, but there is no manufacturer markings. It only indicates Made in U.S.A. on the bottom. It has an interestingly shaped spout with fleur-di-Lis on both sides, a flower like design on the lid and black wood handle and finial. The hinge in brass. The cover on spout (which opens and closes), and hardware on handle are coppers. The inside of the pot is quite clean and likely safe for use.

The outside of the pot has some pitting and scratches but nothing too dramatic. Still great for decoration!

The bottom is stamped "Made in USA". The piece is in very good, albeit vintage condition with nice rosy patina. The black wood paint on the handle is in very nice condition and the finial shows a bit more of the underlying wood color on the top, than the black paint on the handle. The hinge for the lid is still securely attached. The hardware on the piece is really a nice detail. The top sits only slightly askew on the pot. All seams are secure and I tested that it holds water just fine. It works best if you hold the lid when pouring through the spout. A good cleaning and I would not hesitate to use. There is a crack in the wood of the larger handles at the bottom nail. It does not feel loose at all but a split in the wood has begun.

No doubt this would shine up beautifully if you prefer the gleaming copper look. I bet it would be stunning! You can see a hint of the polished look of the copper on the bottom as it has spots where it has been buffed a bit.
