Vintage Porcelier Tea Pot with Fireplace Scene

Vintage Porcelier Tea Pot with Fireplace Scene

$16.50
What a cutie! This is a substantial white teapot with an embossed scene of a spinning wheel and cat in front of a fireplace on the front. It is a medium capacity pot and would give that empty shelf in your kitchen an old home feeling.

The Maker’s Mark on the bottom reads: Porcelier Trade Mark Vitreous Hand Dec. China Made in U.S.A. The ceramic of the entire piece is in really nice condition. The only usage marks are along the bottom of the lip of the lid and the inside lip of the pot. These marks are from usage and the top and bottom rubbing on one another. There are also usage marks on the bottom of the foot and around the edge of the spout.

The base of the teapot has fluted sides which brings the pot gorgeous detailing. The lid has a round knob on top and the handle easily accommodates 3-4 fingers, plus has a nice resting place for one's thumb. This allows for ease of pouring a steamy, hot, delicious brew.

This Porcelier Hearth teapots was manufactured in the U.S. at the Porcelier Manufacturing Plant, in operation from 1927 to 1954 and is discontinued.

What a beautiful addition to your growing teapot collection or as a thoughtful gift for a friend!
