There is just something about yellow flowers that makes you happy! This is such a sweet piece that celebrates the flowers of summer and would be wonderful to greet you in the morning sun. The flowers are artfully arranged in a basket with other items to complete the still life. There is a small basket of berries, a blue bird figurine and some other fruit piece. The piece is quite charming and an affordable way to step into owning original art for your home or office. The composition and the colors of the piece make is quite striking when viewed from afar, and up close. The artist signed it Flowers and Fruit b. ruthven (on the back).

This piece is painted on a stretched canvas and framed in a painted white beveled wood frame with a narrow linen inner frame. There is no mat on the piece. There is a hanging wire on the back.

The painting is in excellent, vintage condition. There are no noted flaws in the paint and the texturing, shadowing and composition show much maturity by the painter. There are a few spots where the white paint on the frame is nicked. The corners are quite sturdy.
