Found these books during my "pickin" adventures and thought they came together as a nice set to bring US History alive! There are three in this set:

1. "Stories of My Country's Beginnings" by Ames Ames Ousley, Illustrated by Mary and Kevin Royt, Copyright 1944 Webster Publishing Company American Life History Series. Corner rubbing and edge wear, green fabric cover is still bright. Former Findlay Ohio School library book; Missing dust jacket; Readable copy. Some pages may have considerable notes/highlighting in pencil. Some writing on front page, along with school sticker. Really wonderful colorful illustrations. Dimensions: 6" x 8 1/4" x 3/4"

2. "The Adventures of Lewis and Clark" by Ormonde de Kay Jr., Illustrated by John Powers Severin, Copyright 1968 Random House Inc. Step-Up Books, Book Club Edition. This book is perfect for young readers with large print and illustrations that make it easy for children to follow along and absorb the information. Slight corner rubbing and edge wear, cover is still bright. Binding edge is in good condition and still tight. Pages inside are in excellent condition. No writing in book, binding tight. Dimensions: 6 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 5/8"

3. "The Story of the Liberty Bell" by Natalie Miller, Illustrated by Betsy Warren, Copyright 1965 Childrens Press Second Printing. This book is perfect for young readers with large print and illustrations that make it easy for children to follow along and absorb the information.
