I picked up this piece from an estate sale because I loved the pictures throughout the book, they are drawings by Kay Pancoast and are pieces of art in themselves. I do not believe this piano music book was used for instruction extensively. The only markings I could find were red pencil marks and Oct 5 on the Hallowe'en Pumpkin song page. Everything else was in original condition. The drawings that accompany the songs are so amazing. They are in black and white with overlay colors of bright green and yellow. The front cover has a bright yellow background with the Country Tunes Title and details regarding the book. There is a faint stamp of SEITZ MUSIC CENTER near the bottom. The back cover is an advertisement for the Josephine Hovey Perry Piano Books from the Oliver Ditson Co. catalog. None of the pages have come loose from the stapled binding in the center of the book. There is age related stray scuffs and marks on the front cover. There is a slight musty odor to the pages as well.

I think the art work would be amazing for other craft projects or to make a repurposed activity book. Many possibilities to reuse or just enjoy the way it is as a display in the play room, music room or vintage décor.
