This is a really fun vintage set -Kenworthy Stencils and Silhouettes No. 2015 which includes 12 animals. They came out of Buffalo NY in the 1940s. These stencils were created to be easy to trace and used in the educational setting. They also were used for decorative purposes. The Set includes: Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Camel, Bear, Donkey, Horse, Cow, Pig, Dog and Rabbit.

The stencils are made of mid-weight cardboard in three colors, as follows:

Red - Bear, Lion, Rhino and Buffalo. All stencils and silhouettes are included. The Lion has the bottom portion of it's tail still included in the stencil, not as part of the silhouette.
Blue - Donkey, Elephant, Camel and Rabbit. All stencils included, the Donkey silhouette is missing.
Yellow - Horse, Cow, Dog and Pig. The Dog silhouette has one leg with tape.

The original box is really nice for it's age; structurally sound with no corner tears. Edge rubbing along all edges and corners.

What a fun back to school or teacher gift or addition to your vintage paper ephemera collection. It would be fun to play these with your children/grandchildren today as well!

Note - these silhouettes and stencils, would also make GREAT ephemera for crafts: Scrapbooking, card making, journaling, junk journals, mixed media art, college, decoupage, tags-limited by your own imagination! I have found them in my research for $1.50 each. This box would equate to 24 units at $1.50 each or $36. You can't go wrong here!
