My parents owned a Collectibles and Toy store back in the 1990s. They had a wonderful assortment of collectible stuffed animals, but too many to keep now that they have retired. I will be listing quite a few items from their collection over the next few weeks so stay tuned if you are a collector of cute things!

This is The Toy Works @1980 Stuffed Bear Pillow. The dapper gentleman wears a proper vest and bow tie and is from old reproduction art. His colors are shades of brown with black lines and a tinge of blue in his eyes and boy tie, complete the "proper" look of this guy. The body is soft and was meticulously hand sewn. The pillow was cut out from a pattern, laid back to back and sewn around the edge. The back of the neck was used as the area to complete the pillow.

The pillow is complete and still sturdy with his stuffing. There is some loss of design on his mouth and bow tie area, likely from stain removal. He is still a fine looking bear and would look so cute in a chair or on a bed. So proper!

The bear is marked with a 1980 copyright from The Toy Works Inc on the bottom of one foot.
