Vintage Cook-Rite Cook In Ware Stoneware Bowls (4)

Vintage Cook-Rite Cook In Ware Stoneware Bowls (4)
$60.00
I love these little bowls - and so fun to find in a set of four! These are Cook Rite Cookin Ware stoneware bowls with dark brown glazed bases and tan rim and interior of bowl. They have small handles on each side. The special additions is the hatch marks on the tan rims and the leaves embossed on the brown bases.
The mark on the bottom is Cook-Rite Cookin Ware Health Economy in a circular pattern. It is the same mark on the bottom of all four bowls. They are from Cook-Rite and information found on-line about this brand is as follows:
The term "Cook-Rite stoneware" refers to durable, vintage kitchenware from the early to mid-20th century, not a specific brand with a continuous history. While the name "Cook-Rite" is associated with these antique items, it was likely a brand name for cookware, such as pie plates and mixing bowls, made from stoneware clay fired at high temperatures."
The bowl set is in very nice antique condition. There are no cracks in any of the pieces. A few have more distinctive darkening and crazing than the others. There are a few small chinks in the surface of a few of them that appear to be from manufacture. They have been used based on the discoloration noted. is In very good condition with the typical pops and glaze slips so common in old stoneware. The top rims show the most usage marks but there are no chips or cracks. The glaze is in wonderful condition.
These really are charming pieces!
