For the game collector. Here is a set of three different, vintage games pieces in their original boxes. They all have such a cool, retro vibe, that they display really well together and would be perfect for your game room, coffee shop, bar, even home office.
The three are:
1 - The Embossing Company's Checkers Yorkite 1 1/8 Made in USA. Dark red box with wonderful retro graphics. Checkers are made of Yorkite and are tan and black. There are 12 tan and 13 black. I believe they are missing 5 pieces to complete the box. Box has quite a bit of corner and edge scuffing to the paper. Both ends of the lid are missing. The bottom of the box has four sturdy corners. Checkers (especially the tan ones) show age related chips and dirtiness. Crowns on one side, round disc on the other side of each checker. Likely antique - 1920s perhaps. Dimensions: 6" x 2 1/2" x 1", 1 1/8" diameter of checkers.
2 - Hal-Sam Checkers Made in USA. Red and white plaid box with wonderful retro graphics. Checkers are made of wood and are red and black. There are 12 tan and 12 black. Box has quite a bit of corner and edge scuffing to the paper. The corners of the lid and the bottom are taped and it is holding nicely, although darkening with age. Checkers (especially the red ones) show age related chips and dirtiness. Globe and stars on one side, round disc on the other side of each checker. Likely 1960s. Dimensions: 7 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 3/4", 1 1/4" diameter of checkers.
3 - Peau Doux Brand 100 Composition - Interlocking Porker Chips Standard Size and Colors Embossed Firm Stacking. Black and gray box with red accents and wonderful retro graphics. Poker chips are made of plastic and are red, white and blue. There are 49 white, 22 blue and 21 red. 8 are missing from the set. Box has quite a bit of corner and edge scuffing to the paper. The corners of the lid and the bottom are still sturdy. Poker chips (especially the white ones) show age related dirtiness. The front and back of each chips has an embossed picture of a French Bulldog, the brand icon for Peau Doux. His picture is on the ends of the lid as well. Adorable! Likely 1950s. Dimensions: 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2", 1 1/2" diameter of poker chips. Highly collectible!
