Soft gray metal storage chests that catered to the 1950s - 1960s trend of storing photographic memories on slides were one of the focuses of the Logan brand name. This is a wonderful example of these durables storage chests. A vintage Logan Magazine Slide Tray Chest that was built to hold 12 slide magazines, 4 one each shelf. It was specifically made to accommodate aluminum metal slide holders that held 36, 35 MM 2X2” slides from Airequipt Manufacturing Co., Inc, New Rochelle, NY.

The original sticker that would have been used to identify the contents of each of the 12 boxes is included with the storage chest. It was never affixed to the chest. It has been folded over time, but would smooth out if applied to the metal surface correctly. No actual slide boxes are included, just the chest and original sticker.

There is no rust on the chest and minimal scratching and denting. The most noticeable dent is on the right side of the top and back edge of the right side. They are smaller dents with slight surface impact. There are a few scratches in the paint and some paint loss on the front clasp and top handle.
still sturdy and work as intended. The front clasp is slightly sticky when closing. There is a spot on the front to attach the original sticker. The front piece opens completely with a hinged bottom. There are four small feet on the bottom. This is ready to be repurposed with it's fun, retro vibe and sturdy storage capacity!
