Antique Framable Children's Book Pages, Florence Sarah Winship Illustrations

$35.00
These 3 brightly colored and beautifully illustrated pages from a children's book from Florence Sarah Winship about Animal Friends would be darling framed and hung in a special child's room or nursery! Each piece is like a piece of original watercolor art with vibrant colors. They appear to have been cut from the pages of a large scale children's book and have scalloped edges on the non-binding sides of each piece. They are back to back illustrations.

Dogs - A young lad with a mother dog and puppy
Geese - Mrs. Goose is scolding with an angry hiss, "Put down my little yellow baby, Miss!"

Turkey - An angry turkey gobbler is after Fay; She'll have to run fast to get away.
Horses - Horses frightened Bunny and he raced away: Bunny frightened Carol as she pitched the hay.

Calf - Little calf slipped through the gate. He found some carrots and ate and ate.
Colt - Daddy gave this colt to me. I'm as happy as can be.

They are in good condition; some wrinkles on the edges, staining of the paper and old tape marks on Horses and Geese. There is a rip on the edge of the Geese page, it does not go all the way through to the Dogs page though. The paper is quite sturdy. I suspect they were part of a early reader book used in an elementary school setting. I can't wait to see how someone uses these in a setting today! I added a picture of how I used the Turkey illustration in a Thanksgiving mantel - it was darling!
