German luster ware is so striking, I can't resist a bowl when I see one. I found this one particularly appealing due to it's smaller size which makes it perfect for condiments on the dining table - and - for using in the bathroom, on a desk, in the hallway for small items. A pretty little pick-me-up wherever it is placed!

This is a beautiful orange and pink lusterware rimmed bowl with cabbage rose designs in the center. It has a raised decorative rim with a scalloped design. The center rose design is a combination of pastel shades with greenery. This is not a hand painted piece but what I believe to be transfer ware design. The rim of the bowl has a superbly shiny glaze with iridescent properties which I think identifies it as luster ware.

This bowl is in amazing condition considering its age. There are no chips or cracks and there is only very slight crazing that can be seen on the back of the base.

It is marked on the back with a green crest that indicates Bavaria.
