What an artist! These are a set of six hand painted small bowls and a likewise painted small stand to complete the dessert set. This would have so many uses - use as a serving set for relishes, candies, dessert, nuts and cheeses or the perfect final piece to use on your Easter buffet or baby or wedding shower decorations!

This is a full set of a small pedestal stand serving tray/bowl and six matching bowls that were hand painted. It is really amazing how similar the presentation is in each piece, knowing that they were done free form. The soft green and blue background set the stage for the blooming cherry trees and two small blue birds. Each piece is accented by a gold rim on the outer rim and a gold trim line on the stand.

The back is marked Hand Painted Nippon with the Nippon crown mark.

All of the pieces are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The only noticeable paint loss is along the gold rim edge on some of the pieces. There is light surface wear on each of the pieces as well. This was clearly a set that was much loved by the hostess who owned it first.
