Vintage Macdonald & Gehm Walker China Co. Red Transferware China Serving Bowl

Vintage Macdonald & Gehm Walker China Co. Red Transferware China Serving Bowl
$45.00
Pretty vintage Macdonald & Gehm china serving bowl with a pretty red transferware pattern on the bottom. It also has decorative elements around the top rim, on both sides, and small flowers around the outside.
The mark on the bottom reads:
Circular logo with M&G in the center and dotted circle surround
Macdonald & Gehm, Inc.
New York
The Walker China Co.
My research indicates that the Walker China Co. is the actual maker, located in Bedford, Ohio. This is the post 1942 labeling. Macdonald & Gehm, Inc. was a New York distributor that specialized in custom-order hotel and restaurant china (their mark “M & G” in a dotted circle).
There are a few special things about this piece that really appealed. The transferware imagery is very pretty - and especially nice for the Christmas season. The bowl is quite substantial and has a wonderful glossy finish. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. There are three feet on the bottom for keeping air circulating around the contents. The transferware, and other design elements are in wonderful condition - no rubbing or paint loss.
Quite unique - haven't really come across this style and design in all my sleuthing!
Dimensions:
7" diameter x 2 3/8" high
