Faneuil Hall

This is such a wonderful piece of American with the beautiful deep cobalt blue transfer - could be considered flow blue -edge design and a depiction of the bustling market around the Faneuil Hall in Boston in the center. This is from Wedgewood Etruria England. The Wedgewood brand marks and imprinted WEDGEWOOD and O FNF are clear on the back of the plate.

It is quite interesting that one of the oldest and most prestigious British ceramic / pottery companies which dates back a little bit prior to the revolutionary war created this plate. It looks wonderful with the 1940s President of Our United States book that is listed separately.

The plate is in excellent vintage condition; no chips, cracks or crazing. There are surface bubbles in the glaze that were from the original manufacturing process.
