This is a collection of unique sewing and crafting scissors that would make a wonderful gift for the craft person or seamstress in your life. Each of them would be perfect for display in the sewing or craft room also as they each have very charming elements that catch the eye.
1 - gingher brand - the mark of quality Nylon and Stainless black scissors. Model G-NS-2 - Snap TM. They are still in the original plastic storage bag, with the original price tag of $9.95. The scissors are like new! The bag has some stiffness to the plastic and creases in the top. Likely 1980s. These are very high end scissors with German blades. Dimensions - 8 1/4" long, 2 3/4" wide across handles
2 - Compton Model 88U-9 U Set USA sewing scissors from the 1950's
These scissors are of well made chromed steel that are sharp and fully functional, with a satisfying snip sound on closing which indicates no looseness or excessive wear. They are marked "Compton" U Set Pat USA on one side and "88U-9" on the other. These scissors have a wonderful patina and the metal has a very cool look and feel. They are in good condition with wear to the metal. Some of the black paint on the handle has worn off from years of use. Still cuts paper cleanly. Dimensions: 9 1/4" in length, 5" cutting blades
3 - Unbranded Forged Steel Etched Handle Sewing Scissors.
These scissors are of well made forged steel that are sharp and fully functional, with a satisfying snip sound on closing which indicates no looseness or excessive wear. They are marked "Forged Steel" on one side. These scissors have a wonderful patina with some slight rusting on the tops of the blades. They have wonderful flowers and vines etched into the handles. They are in good condition with wear to the metal. Still cuts paper cleanly. Dimensions: 8" in length, 4 3/4" cutting blades
4 - Equity Embroidery Scissors. Delicate curved end embroidery scissors in wonderful condition with slight patina . Very light weight, Still cuts paper cleanly. Dimensions: 3 3/4" long, 1 1/2" wide at handle
