This edition is a testament to Lincoln's eloquence and enduring legacy.

The black hardcover of the book features an embossed portrait of Abraham Lincoln and it comes in a protective blue slipcase. The binding identifies The Literary Works of Abraham Lincoln Curry in gold foil.

There are numerous colored illustrations by John Steuart Curry included in the book and they are magnificent!

The book is is in remarkable condition, free from any tears or handwriting and in very nice collectible condition. The cover was well protected by the slipcase as it is really, really nice. The protective blue slipcase has experienced significant sun fading, but is very strong structurally.

The Introduction, written by Carl Van Doren, gives a glimpse of the effort necessary to bring this book together, and concludes:

The Lincoln legend is one of America's magnificent achievements. The man he was has long been made over into a hero he will continue to be. Yet at the center of that legend there remains, untouched, the solid core of his actual self, here revealed in his actual words.
