Moving into fall colors and tones for decorating is one of my favorite seasonal changes. Halloween is a nice focal point at the end of that timeframe as well. But, I have always, even as a little girl, been frightened by Halloween "spookiness". This year I have been on the hunt for items that could be used in Fall and Halloween decorating that are fun, light hearted and definitely unique. I have quite the collection brought together. Each item will be posted separately, accompanied by a few photos of vignettes with other items to spark your creativity.

Came across this little tin, just in time for the Halloween season as the colors are primarily beige with orange and black lettering. . It's a vintage pocket tin box that would have once held 24 "5 grain" aspirin tablets, according to the label. The rest of the front is labeled "Spartan Brand Pure Aspirin" Tablets 15 cents Package. On the back is 5 Grain Aspirin Tablets. Aspirin is recommended for the relief of pain and discomfort in cases of simple Headaches, Head Colds, Neuralgias, and Muscular Aches and Pains. Also it is used as a gargle for relief of minor throat irritations. Dose - 1 to 3 tablets with water. Southern Chemical Co. Petersburg, VA. Most likely 1920's origin. In very good condition with very light wear. Fastens firmly shut when closed. The tin is empty; nothing inside. There are a few scratches on the bottom of the inside.
