Wouldn't this also be a fun gift to give someone as a housewarming - a reminder of a time when moving across country meant a totally different experience! There is a line of white hem stitch along the top and bottom border of the towel as well as the colorful cross stitch design. The sides and hems are rolled edges. this is beautiful hand work, as well as a darling design.

This unique towel is hand stitched and does not appear to ever have been used or laundered. So many possibilities! The blue cotton has faded a bit on the center fold and would benefit tremendously from a soft laundering. There is one very small snag on the inside fold of the towel.
