This book is "Elementary - School Science and How to Teach It" by Glenn O. Blough and Albert J. Huggett. This is a really charming early grades Science book focused on material the teacher needs to help young children to find answers to their science questions, the subject matter is essentially nontechnical. The 532 pages are text heavy but contain many black and white photographs and diagrams that aide the presentation of the subject matter.

The best part of this book is the cover. It has a bright red fabric-like feel with a photograph of three young students working on an experiment in the science lab. The children look like they are right out of Leave it to Beaver or Mayberry RFD. Just love it!

The cover is lightly worn with a bumped head and tail and faint crazing marks across the surface. The bound edge is in a contrast gray color with maroon and cream identification. The binding is still nice and tight but the book leans towards the right when closed. There are no scribbles or writing inside. There is a slightly musty odor when the book is opened. You do not smell it when it is closed.
